NEW EVENING CLASS Starting February 18th

I will start teaching a NEW EVENING class of Finding Christ in the Old Testament starting next Wednesday, February 18th.

The class will meet in the Sugarhouse Stake Center located at 1100 East and 1700 South in Salt Lake.

We will meet from 6 to 7:30 PM.  The early hour is because there is another adult religion class that meets in the same building from 7:30 to 9.  It is an Old Testament class taught by James and Judith McConkie.

So you can attend BOTH classes!

A NURSERY will be provided, so if you have small children, you can still come.

Tell your spouses and friends who have daytime jobs.  See you there.

Canon Lists: Hebrew Bible, Septuagint, Catholic Bible, King James Bible

Many of you have asked for a list of the books in the canon of various groups reading the Bible.
These are easily available online : HERE is a great in depth wikipedia article on the various canon lists and how they developed.

For your convenience,  here is a one-sheet list for easy comparison.

Scripture Timelines from Margot Butler

Margot Butler's Old Testament Timeline is my favorite scripture handout.

A high-quality version to print out of page one is available HERE .

Page two can be found HERE

A high quality version Margot Butler's Storyline of the Gospels is available to print out here.

Hebrew Literacy in Ancient Israel and Judah

There are some great posts over at the  Forn Spǫll Fira blog about literacy in ancient Israel and Judah.
